ARCI Liguria A.P.S. is the regional committee of ARCI in Liguria, North-West Italy. It is the biggest independent association for promoting culture, social values and civil rights in the country and, with its over 300 clubs and more than 50.000 card holders it represents a network whose well-grounded structure enhances democratic participation and social integration locally. Since 1977 ARCI’s mutualistic associations, non-profit organizations, art galleries, volunteering groups and clubs promote culture and sociability in the region.
ARCI’s activities include defence of the rights of migrants (legal assistance, work and education orientation and welcoming systems), promotion of a culture against crime organisations and initiatives, delivery of non-formal education activities to children at school and in suburban districts and also to inmates, enhancement of civic participation and volunteering as a self-developing and active-citizenship instrument for the youth, recreational activities.
Considering its broad experience in European projects, both as a leading and partner organisation, ARCI Liguria is in charge of the management of Communications of ECMA.
